Upgrading to 3.6.1.12 / 3.7.1.3 or later from 3.6.1.8n to include fix for GSKit library path

November 20th, 2008 · Comments Off

In IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances firmware version 3.6.1.8 and earlier, the GSKit library path is missing which causes the TAM client to fail to initialize when configured to use both FIPS mode and LDAP over SSL. However upgrading to 3.6.1.12 or 3.7.1.3 directly from 3.6.1.8nx to 3.6.1.11 breaks the appliance operation an

What is the correct use of the variable var://local/<variable name> on the DataPower appliance

November 14th, 2008 · Comments Off

You would like to set a custom variable in one action, use it, and reset it in the next action. When you define the variable as var://context/local/myVar, it works as expected. However, when you define the variable as var://local/myVar, you are unable to set the variable in the individual transform actions. You see this when you display the value of var://local/myVar from the same stylesheet in which it was changed. Instead of seeing the changed value, you see the value from the previous action of the pr
