The Mixed Platform Stack Project: Deploying a secure SOA solution into z/OS
November 3rd, 2008 · Comments Off
System z is the strategic core of business world wide. Two IBM teams architected and deployed a secure SOA environment, based on a realistic customer scenario, involving WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere ESB, WebSphere Service Registry and Repository, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker, CICS, DB2, several security products, and more. One team focused on deployment of the applications in a mixed AIX and z/OS environment, whilst the other team deployed the applications in a pure z/OS environment. The Experience Report documents this work, providing a step-by-step guide to deploying a SOA solution in a z/OS or distributed environment. Architects: Karen Smolar and Richard Jacks.
